Twins are two children born on the same day to the same mother who look alike. Hereditary diseases are passed on from parents to children. Ashima's sneeze resembles her father's. In some cases, her mother confuses Ashima with her father due to the sneeze. A cousin sister of Nilima, Kiran was Nilima's cousin. Samir's mausi was Nilima.
